In an ongoing effort to provide customers with a reliable and efficient service, CMA CGM has announced the following peak season surcharges, valid from 5 September 2023 (ship loading date) until further notice.
Notably, CMA CGM ships will impose a new port congestion surcharge (PCS) at the Turkish port of Iskenderun. Cma CGM said it would impose a surcharge of $200 per container on all types of containers shipped from Iskenderun to West Africa. The surcharge will take effect on August 25.
In addition to this, CMA CGM will also impose a congestion surcharge of 100 euros ($108) per TEU at Turkish ports on all cargoes to and from Northern Europe, Scandinavia, Poland and the Baltic Sea. The surcharge will come into effect on August 29 and will apply to dry, dangerous and refrigerated containers.

Cma CGM has also announced a congestion surcharge of €100 /TEU for all INTRAMED shipments from the Mediterranean (including Portugal), North Africa (including Morocco) and the Black Sea to Iskenderun.

"Subject to changes in local conditions, any changes to the amount of the surcharge will be made with seven days' notice," CMA CGM noted.
